Its been awhlie

Its been awhile since anyone posted..
Its been awhile since anyone called or said Hi or smile..
Its true its been awhile..

When dark times come, what do we hold on to?
What are the things that would not fade away and remain eternal?
There is only one answer..
God our maker..

People may fail us..
Situations would seem dire..
Circumstances would change..
But God will never fail us nor change..
He is ever faithful and steadfast..

=================================================================

My prayer is that we would continually live in desperation of him and hold on to his promises no matter what happens.

Sharing is Caring!!

During the music ministry debriefing session, we had the usual debriefing and celebrated Jenn, Evie and Josh's birthday. It was supposed to be a surprise but too bad, it didn't worked out. Anyway, decided to get off church quick as we were hungry. I meant my cell members.

We're so happy!! Sing a happy song!! Posted by Picasa

Get ready!! Happy birthday to Evie, Jenn and Josh!! Posted by Picasa

We went to River Valley and had dinner. Thereafter, we went to Peng Chye's place for supper and a very very long sharing session. In fact, it was so long that we took cab home. It's really worth the buck!! Julian, Jac Seah, Peng Chye and I shared from the bottom of our hearts as we reflect on our lives, etc. It was enriching and encouraging. Seeing the cell growing and at the crossroads, taking each other into consideration and really caring for each other is all we need to do for each other.

Glad: Wen Jie, That's it!! Wen Jie: What's it?? Posted by Picasa

The fellowship was great and Julian really blessed me a lot through it all. Gabriel, Julian and I sort of got closer these few months and we sincerely need to make that conscicous effort to maintain this brotherhood!! Hope you are blessed when you see this. I'm greatly encouraged by my brothers in cell, at this moment, for such a time as this, to rise up and take up the challenge to serve and get out of our comfort zones.

In fact, it was this that struck me. I'm thinking of Sec 1 cell and Music Ministry again. It seem to be daunting and I wanna test it out. I'm giving myself 3 months to test it and see what the Lord will do in my life and really bring me through these. I hope it will be His will rather than my will or my thoughts/feelings. Lord, I come to you with a broken heart. Please mend it for me and restore my brokeness. Only You can restore and mend me.

In my heart, the surge indicates warning and I hope that this surge will decrease and Lord, You increase. The surge indicates His heartbeat. I'm sorry for the many things that I've failed to fulfill. Often through my own flesh, fulfilling my own will and selfish ambitions. I give my all to You and Lord, You take control.

I really had a blessed night. I hope this will continue. Right, Julian + Gab?? Thanks Peng Chye for being encouraging and supportive. Really appreciate it.

Thanks to Gathering of the Peas.

Be Blessed!!

Haircut + Driving!!

Spent the entire day at Ricky's Hairworks. Did all my haircut there since 15 years old. I did another radical dye + highlight today!! It's Orange and Copper Brown. It's different from the one I did last year during June.

My mum dyed her hair too and my sister rebonded her hair. We started our session since 2:30pm, all the way to almost 11pm!! Wah, quite worth it. Oops, we spent alot though for this haircut session. But I felt so relaxed and really wanna get some customers before my holidays end.

My dad came to pick us up. And I drove!! I drove from Bishan MRT, all the way home. Through CTE, then followed by PIE. Exit via Eunos Link and drove up that slope, back to my area's little tricky carpark and parked the car. Still cannot park perfectly but improving I hope.

There's a breakthrough today. Drove through the Expressway!! Nice hairdo and relaxing moments. Hope that I can really teach well in my guitar later today. Gotta sleep. Nites!!

Be Blessed!!

I love the Peas!!!

When i went to UK you guys were there to send me off. When i came back you guys were there. It was the same when i went for the mission trip and i must say im really touched by the love you guys have shown me. Indeed through this mission trip, God has been doing alot of work in my life.

I dont even know where to begin. But i hope what i share would be an encouragement to anyone who reads this and just be blessed.

I grew up in COOS till i was about pri6 and then joined City Harvest for 6 years. During my time at CHC my Christian walk was just stagnant and at most going through ups and downs. I had a revealation that my time at CHC was likened to having alot of fertiliser. Alot of head knowledge and more head knowledge but no heart knowledge.

When the youth service started, my parents were telling me to come back. And i prayed and seeked Him and he told me to come back to serve and lead as i was not getting that chance in CHC. I felt like a sponge soaked to the brim and just could not absorb anymore. I had to be squeezed. I guess the turning point came when i just decided to go for step, but it somehow clashed with my England trip. During my UK trip, my spiritual walk was in the dumps and really its by God's grace that he has brought me back after i've been burnt. I guess i had to make the choice to see what life without God was and what life with God was like (walking in my destiny)
I just had to make the conscious decision that its either God's way or no way.

If i had taken up step then and just lead it'll be out of my soulish pride and flesh and the bible says that a wiseman builds him house on the rocks and not the sand. I guess God's timing is impeccable la. And really the first step in the transformation in my life really stemmed for just being humble before God and realizing my weaknesses before him and knowing that without him im nothing. He has been reminding me time and time again that if im faithful with the small things he will give me greater things.

Through this trip, God has just revealed so much he has in store for me in my life and really he has been so faithful. Im always reminded by Matt6:33 that if i seek ye first the Kingdom of God all these things shall be added unto me. And in Jer that God has a plan to propser me, a plan of good and not of evil. I guess God's timing is just so good, hes pruning my charecter daily and just teaching me so much. My growth has jsut been so expoenential. The fertiliser i had from CHC are starting to work now that i have gotten the seeds. I pray that it'll continue like this and not be stagnant and that my Christian walk would be one of an In and Out not Up and Down.

This's like a summary of what God has been teaching me so far.

1) Die to self
2) Leadership
3) God's call
4) My Match
5) Faith
6) Steping out of my Comfort Zones
7) Gifts God has given me
8) Intercessory Prayer over East Timor
9) Being Led by the Spirit
10) Lifestyle change
11) Evangelism and gospel sharing
12) Overcoming Fear
13) The power of words and edification

I just wanna thank God for all of you and your constant prayers and encouragements and that it has really carried me through my toughest periods too. I love you all!!
